Dark Woods: Cults, Crime and the Paranormal
in the Freetown State Forest
To paranormal investigators in the area, the Triangle is a goldmine. Standing on a street corner is
likely to result in being told some story of the unexplained. The area is known for heightened reports
of monsters and odd animals and is a hotbed of UFO activity. Much of this can be explained away
by people who do not believe the in the supernatural, but there are other signs the area might be a
magnet for negative activity.

When these other cities are thrown into the mix, and all the other confines of Coleman original map
are factored in, the physical and conceptual heart of the Triangle begins to lean towards Freetown.
The Hockomock Swamp might be the more famous of the two, but the Freetown State Forest is the
true symbol of the evil living there, a force that continues to draw in more negative energy
regardless of what geometrical figure we apply to it...

Freetown is considered one of the oddest places in the world, but it has been
traditionally known as a place to find odd animals and UFOs.  There is more within the
Triangle.  Ghosts haunt every corner, including the apex, Freetown.  Loren Coleman
was wise to make it a vital part of his Triangle.  It is one of the most mysterious  places
on earth.
